Ground Floor
The ground floor of the house is where history, comfort and conviviality come together. From the original Grassi family crest in the Entrance Hall to the frescoed ceiling of the Sala Manger, every room tells part of the story of this 16th-century villa. Whether you’re reading by the fireplace, enjoying a slow breakfast by candlelight, or sharing a glass of local wine in the Drawing Room, this floor invites you to unwind and feel at home. It’s a space shaped by centuries, and brought to life by our guests.
Entrance Hall
Within the entrace hall is the original crest of the Grassi family, the orignal owners of The House, a nobel family from Genova. The House was orginally built as their summer residence around 1500.

Living Room
Our shared spaces are places you can find time to relax. The Salone has a fireplace, comfortable furnishings and lots of games that guests should feel free to play. The Salone is a place to relax and converse or equally spend time dozing under the vaulted ceiling.

Sala Manger
Breakfast is served under our 16th century frescoed ceiling. Dating from 1532 the fresco incorporates the lion from the Grassi family crest. We love to eat by candle light to create a fantastic atmosphere, there is no eletric lighting save for a few lamps. Breakfast is served in much the same way.

Kitchen
The kitchen is a hub of activity when we have guests and is a closed space that is used by our staff to make each stay memroble. At request guests can keep wine from wine tastings and adventures in the fridge.

Drawing Room
There is plenty to read in the bookshelves of the drawing room, from great classics to the newest best sellers. Guests will also find an honesty bar where you can relax or entertain friends. We have a small selection of local wines inspiring that trip extra to the vineyards. This is the only space in The House with a tv using Chromecast in order to stream from your personal devices.
