Outdoor

The outdoor areas of the villa reflect its Italian character and offer different ways to enjoy the open air. From swimming in the Roman-style pool to relaxing in the shade of the historic portico, every space is designed for comfort and tranquillity. Guests can stroll through the gardens, enjoy seasonal produce from the kitchen garden, or have a quiet aperitivo on the terrace. Whether you’re here to unwind or explore, the outdoors are an essential part of the experience.

The Pool

The Pool is designed to remember an ancient roman fountain, a 14 meter salt water lap pool. We love enjoying the sun on our comfortable sun loungers and being able to listen to the fountain and have a swim. We also love having a cocktail by the pool in the evening.

Covered Portico

The Portico is one of the original parts of the building that we have tried to disturb the least. With the comfortable lounge it is a great area to escape the sun and read or have a snooze. Equally great for hosting those special private events.

Kitchen Garden

We aim to grow most of our own vegetables and love to include them in our breakfast offering seasonally, whether that be strawberries in late spring or tomatoes in summer, it always tastes best home grown. We also grow flowers for cutting and experiment throughout The House with natural arrangements.

Grounds

Originally encorporating a much larger area, The Grounds are now confined to the walled space leading from via Veneto. The space was used originally as an arboretum and we plan to gradually introduce a collection of trees to create a unique landscape. Inspired by the Edwardian English garden and having a British owner, we love adding long herbaceous boarders with paths to meander. It is a constant evolution.

Terrace

The Terrace offers another small entertaining space off the drawing room, another intimate spot to enjoy some shade, read a book or enjoy aperitivo from the honesty bar in the drawing room.
